Research

IRG-1: Complex Concentrated Materials. Develop foundational interface science for complex concentrated metals and ceramics. The goal is to establish the structure-property relationships to guide the design of these new complex materials for desirable applications.

IRG-2

IRG-2: Bioinspired Active Materials. Develop self-assembly strategies to study fundamental charge-matter interactions in supramolecular “living” materials. This research will lay the groundwork for a new class of bioinspired materials.

IRG-3

Seed Projects

The CCAM seed program supports new emerging areas of research to promote diversity and flexibility in our Center’s collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment. The overall goal of the program is to strengthen the current IRG research areas and establish new research directions.
