The CCAM will invite industry and national laboratory researchers for attending the symposium and workshop, and connect them by lowering science team barriers, e.g., physical distance, social identification, team member familiarity, and give visitors easy access to UCI facilities and research expertise. After the pandemic reopening, the Center will host several long-term visitors per year, domestic or international, up to 4 person-months in length. The visitor will be selected and invited by the Director and will interact with CCAM researchers for fostering stable collaborations. Through them, the Center will spread the influence on broad materials research and development communities.
